Cybersecurity, sicurezza nazionale e trattamento dei dati personali

Abstract

This paper aims to investigate the balance between cybersecurity, national security and the right to the protection of personal data. Starting from the analysis of the perimeter within cybersecurity activities involving the processing of personal data for national security purposes allow limitations of the right to data protection in the cyberspace, the objective of study is to clarify how far the interest in cybernetic security justifies derogations from the general regulation about the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data.
