Sanità e digitalizzazione: il ruolo del privato tra efficienza ed uguaglianza

Abstract

The digitalization of healthcare today lies at the crossroads of technological innovation, administrative efficiency, and the protection of social rights. From this perspective, the digital transition process, made urgent by the pandemic crisis and supported by extraordinary investments such as those envisaged by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), is redefining the scope and delivery methods of public healthcare services, requiring a rethink on the very structure of the National Health System. This process, however, presents significant challenges, including the protection of sensitive data, system interoperability, and the digital divide; yet, at the same time, it offers unprecedented opportunities to improve access to care, personalize treatments, and optimize the system's efficiency.
